Our Roots
Heart for Early Mothers Initiative (HEMI) is a nonprofit African organization that was integrated in 2012.
This Charity Organization was started earlier in 2008 by a concerned Ugandan citizen Mr. Ssewankambo Joel after having lost his 17yrs young sister who conceived at an early age and ended up losing her life during her time of giving birth. In such a distress moment, we called for an end on her so that it can never happen again to any girl child that is below the age of being a Mother and with no enough support to help her through with her born or to be born baby hence Heart For Early Mothers Initiative (HEMI).
This project is supporting and empowering young-single, expectant mothers and their children in order to liberate them in areas that are most vital to them which are; Healthcare, Psychosocial support, Legal assistance and Economic growth as a means of saving them from emotional breakdown, maternal & infant mortality and self pity and as a result curbing on maternal and infant mortality rates, abandoned children, domestic suicides.

HEALTH CLINIC
At HEART FOR EARLY MOTHERS INITIATIVE (HEMI), we are dedicated to stepping up our efforts in addressing this issue. Health Clinic is by no means an easy feat, but through cooperation and community empowerment we believe we can facilitate progress in this area. ABOUT THE FOUNDER

Mr. Joel was born and raised by his Dear grand mother Mrs Nagujja in Uganda Kampala at Mulago hospital in 1998, Mr JOEL SSEWANKAMBO attended his kindergarten at the age of 3 years, he attended and finished his primary seven certificate in 2011 at Nansana Primary School. Mr. Ssewankabo attained his Universal Certificate of Education(UCE) in 2015 at Nansana Education Centre. He attained a Certificate in Electrical Engineering from Markland Institute in 2016 and in that very year awarded a certificate in Public Motivational speaking at Makerere university.
On 23rd/11/2018, Mr Ssewankambo Joel founded Heart for Early Mothers initiative Uganda , whose vision is to reach out to every hurting soul in early motherhood and transform- theirlives.
As a humanitarian , Ssewankambo dedicates majority of his time to serving vulnerable, and orphaned children in Kampala, Uganda .Mr Joel ssewankambo has spent the last three years providing a path way of hope by giving to the hopeless ,building relationships and currently most passionate about the work he is doing of reaching out to every hurting souls and transform lives through Heart For Early Mothers Initiative
As a critical thinker, motivational speaker Joel has developed a unique perspective when it comes to vulnerable and orphaned children having lost his good caring grandfather at an early stage , he aspires to the scaling down the level of vulnerability in Uganda and East Africa at large and we are looking forward to support the Young early mothers and their children by providing them with meals every day so as to fight the hunger virus in AFrica.
